Design Day 3

We should revise our public to include girls (girls enjoyed the game too), and people of a younger age (up to 5th grade).
The prototype matches the description because it is challenging, and simple, so it has a very wide range of people who could play it. It is also a bit addictive. It is self explanatory.

I wouldn't drop anything, because it would become too simple, instead, we'll make it more challenging by adding more hoops.

We would like to keep the multiple hoops and the catapult and board design.

We'll just do the same thing just bigger and better, with more hoops.
I'll do the catapult (wooden piece, cup/bowl)
Alejandro will do the hoops (tape, cardboard)
Sammy will make the ball and help both of us. (ball)

Design Day 2

My strength was the design of the adjustable catapult because it was easy to make. My weakness was my drawing ability and my board/hoop design.

Alejandro's strength was that it was drawn in perspective, and his hoop design was the best out of all 3. His weakness was that he put wheels on the catapult and that would be very hard to make.

Same designed the hoop differently so that it adjusted distance but not height so those where his good and his bad.

We will use my catapult design, and Alejandro's hoop design.

FEEDBACK:
We should change our audience to middle and highschool boys and girls.
We actually made 2 hoops, and they said we should move the hoops one bit to adjust to the scoring system.
Add more hoops to have more options.

They complimented our good design and the creativity and fun of the game.

Design Project Day 1

Partners:
Alejandro Samper
Samuel Fajardo

DEFINE:
The game will be for 7th to 12th graders, mostly males.
Around Middle difficulty.

Factors of success:
Football, explosions, war, marksmanship, money, rewards, RED and BLACK.

RESEARCH:
Video 1
Good: It is very ornate, elaborate, many controls.
Improved: Many of the parts have to be bought.

Video 2
Good: The creator had some good ideas, very simple games.
Improved: games are too easy, require someone to run them.

Video 3
Good: as far as materials go, the kid was very resourceful.
Bad: the game wasn't very functional, it was hard to maneuver.

IDEATION:
Brainstorm Ideas:
1. Catapult Bascketball.
2. Pinball.\
3. Fussball.

We chose Catapult Bascketball.
We would make it so that you can move the catapult and the hoop, so you can adjust for difficulty.
We would add a "soldier bowling" feature. (MAYBE)

What could go wrong:
Weak hoop structure. (support it with duct tape and cardboard)
Balancing the catapult right. (testing it beforehand)
